The interview is actually a time where employer predicts your talent with a way you answer the questions. Everybody should need to prepare for the interview before appearing in the office. Practice is actually a great way to show a difference at a time of hiring. But many of us believe in some sort of interview myths that we need to avoid. Here are some of the things that you think will cost job but actually works for you.
- Asking to reschedule:
Many of us fear that whether employer or hiring team will reschedule your job interview or not if you ask for rescheduling. But actually, it works for you instead of visiting office without preparation. When you receive a call for an interview, and you are busy in some sort of work or sick. You can ask for other suitable time for an interview and mention the reason.
- Asking which job you’re interviewing for:
Many people even don’t know for which post they’re going in an interview when an office has different sorts of work. It is better to ask for the domain and especially which role they’re talking about when viewing your resume. You have to market your skills and experiences.
- Being Late:
It is always better to reach 10 minutes before an interview. But what if you get stuck in traffic or reach late for some sort of reason? It is always good to acknowledge your employer or hiring team that you get stuck in traffic never just slide in late without an excuse.
- Overdressing:
It is good to dress properly for your interview as it produces a positive effect in boss mind. But relying on certain clothing can also boost your confidence. The key is to wear the clothes that more or less fit the uniform. If you wear a prominent belt and your employer makes a comment on this. you have to make a visual impression on a comment.
- Drawing a black:
We don’t have enough to speak in front of the employer at the time of interview. When you enter the hall; it is nearly impossible to speak. The key is to remain silent during a job interview to remain safe from worst situations. It is always better to practice for questions appearing in the job interview such as tell me about yourself. The fact is that no one has already read your resume and wants to know about you from yourself.
- Forgetting the question:
If you just forgot the question asked by the interviewer just pass a smile. You have to ask if you don’t mind then please repeat the question. Being nervous at time of interview is just a common thing.
