Toxic employee is the person that sucks the productive juices of the organization and turned to be an expensive investment for the company – despite a lot of recruitment processes and best efforts to hire a right person sometimes it ends up with a toxic employee in a team that contribute nothing much to the organization and you can’t fire him then how do you respond to him or his behavior? They are not easy to recognize in the organization and here are the ways to tackle the toxic employee in the organization.
- One Man Show:
This is the first sight of the toxic employees as they believe in themselves and work alone and don’t believe in the group work – they are hardworking and remain in attitude and degrade the coworkers by teaching them the right way to do the things and don’t care about other people efforts – the organization give them a paid break due to their excessive work and if can’t afford the break then start giving more incentives to team effort.
- Toxic Employees Busy In Negative Gossiping:
These are the employees that love to start rumors about the company and create mistrust between co-workers and management team and produce negative image of the company towards the other employees – you have to talk these employees individually and ask the reason for their negative conversation and gossips and develop a habit of positive talk and share the positive stories to increase the innovative ideas of the employees.
- They Make Trap By Emotional Scene:
You have to aware of these employees as they create an emotional scene for their self-benefits like they make you an emotional fool by mixing their health and family matters and made an innocent face to get attention of others and take out work from others – you have to stay away from family matters of the employees from the official ones as they are getting salary for work so keep a watch on the drama queens.
- Be Aware Of Creative Monsters:
You have to aware of the toxic employees as they are creative monsters and are master to avoid their work – they busy themselves in different groups to avoid the work and then pass lame excuses as they are not working properly or I am unable to tackle the world load but their own contribution is zero and when it is the time of salary they come up with fake achievements – you must have to assign these employees individual task and add a limit for completion of the work and this approach is the solution towards these types of the employees.
- They are big time procrastinators:
These are the kind of the employees that believes in the ‘I will do it tomorrow’ – you know that tomorrow never comes as they waste most of the time by stretching in the exercises or don’t pay attention to the deadlines – you will surprise them by unscheduled visits and the reviews so that they will start their work with responsibility.
